The Australia National University network seems to be hacked while the Chinese hackers are being blamed for the attack. To reduce costant intervention on the network security, the university has alligned with Australian University agencies since several months to reduce threats and to seek advice from the Australian agencies. dxd

As per the spokesperson of ANU, no data of any students or teachers has been hacked so far. They said,

The university has been working in partnership with Australian Government agencies for several months to minimise the impact of this threat, and we continue to seek and take advice from Australian government agencies. Current assessments indicate no staff, student or research information has been taken and counter-measures are being undertaken.”

However, the security officials denoted cyber intrusion to be the result of network hacking. Before hacking university network an advanced threat was received by the university. 9News states that hackers gained administrative rights of university’s internal system.
