Thousands of Users Personal Details & Payment hacked from Ticketmaster Website
One of the largest ticketing group, Ticketmaster immediately began to contact its Australian customers after its data containing clients personal bank account and private details got hacked worldwide. As a warning, the company has asked its user to change their password and credit card details.
More than forty thousand British users got affected by the malicious attack released by Spanish co. Inbenta. As revealed by the spokesperson of Ticketmaster, forensic investigation is going on to identify whether or not the financial details of Australians client got exposed. He also added, no further confirmation besides UK clients has been received so far. He said, “We don’t believe there are any customers in Australia or New Zealand that have been affected but we are contacting them out of an abundance of caution. Because of Inbenta’s product running on Ticketmaster International websites, some of our customers’ personal or payment information may have been accessed by an unknown third-party.”
The digital break-in has affected 5 percent of its total consumers worldwide. The company will provide free identity and monitoring service whose detail got stolen. Ticketmaster is an online website selling entertainment tickets (cricket, AFL, NRL and other entertainment-related tickets) to its customers worldwide.
