FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS BUSINESS INTERNET

Find answers and solutions to Business Internet. If you can’t find an answer, contact us and we will be happy to help.

Can you tell me about the network boundary point?

Ans: RSPs are entitled to legal responsibility after their network boundary point. After that, the lines are privately owned, so the property owner is responsible for all maintenance. Based on the access technology available at your premise, your network boundary point changes.

How soon will I be able to access the NBN internet?

Ans: Across Australia, different parts of the NBN infrastructure are being installed at other times. Enter your proper location into the NBN Online Coverage Checker to determine when the NBN will be available in your area.

In what range of speeds can the Internet be accessed?

Ans: In your area, you will have access to different technologies. Your choice of plan will also limit your access. NBN Business plans are available in four speeds – Basic, Standard, Standard Plus and Premium Evening Speed. The NBN Speed Guide contains more information about NBN speeds.

What is the NBN connection process?

Ans: You must choose a Retail Service Provider (RSP) after NBN installation has been completed in your area. If you wish to use the NBN service, you will need to do so after receiving the notification.

Our team can take care of the rest for you, including arranging for a certified service installer to visit your property, as well as arranging the installation of the right equipment for your home. Your new high-speed broadband connection gets ready as soon as everything is up and running.

Installing NBN internet - how does it work? What is the cost?

Ans: NBN Contractors will identify whether an installation is deemed a Standard Installation or not. Upon completing the installation of a Non-Standard Installation, formal price quote is provided, which you will be billed. One-time fees may apply if you are a new user and not yet connected to the NBN.

Unlimited internet plans - what does that really mean?

Ans: Our unlimited plan lets you upload and download as much as you want. ’32Tb’ download quotas are offered in batches of unlimited downloads. Upon using up the first 32 TB, you will receive an additional 32 TB.

Are there any equipment requirements for the internet to work?

Ans: Modem for NBN: You may need to upgrade some devices according to your access to your broadband services and how you use them. The device needs to support the operating system.

The NBN equipment: Once your NBN order is placed with Business, we will arrange for NBN Co to come to your premises to install the service (if necessary); the actual equipment you will receive depends on availability.

Is it necessary to remain on site during installation?

Ans: Depending on how your premises are connected, this may differ. It will be necessary for you to be at home when the NBN Co installs specific connection devices in your business premises. Our installer will be able to schedule a time with you according to your needs. You can reschedule your appointment or ask someone over 18 years old to act on your behalf if you cannot attend.
